![]() ![]() PLEASE NOTE: If AWStats was installed before 26th October 2008, you will need to reinstall the package if you want to use the Scheduled Task method - as this has only recently been supported. (remember to change to your domain name, and ~/public_html/stats to the actual path the stats are installed at) Set the scheduled time to something sensible, such as every day at 4am (select 4am under Hour) Webalizer: ~/public_html/stats/webalizer -D dns.cache -n ~/logs/*access_logĦ. However, the key difference between these two programs is that AWStats relies on server log files to generate its statistics, while Webalizer uses raw log files. You can set webalizer to ignore confirmed spiders or robots. Webalizer uses 30 minutes to count user visits instead of 60 minutes in awstats, so more visitors will be recorded. The stats are automatically updated when you visit the correct URL. Webalizer is similar to awstats in that it analyzes the logs on the server and does not try to distinguish between human access and robot access.
